Welcome to Wunschbox ("we," "our," or "us"). We provide a platform for parents and guardians to manage and share gift wishes for their children with invited friends and family members. Your privacy, and especially the privacy of children, is our highest priority.
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our service and ensure a secure experience.
A. Personal Data Provided by You (Parent/Adult)
Account Information: Name and email address obtained via direct signup or Social SSO (Google/Apple).
Profile Image: An optional photo uploaded by you to represent your account.
B. Information About Children (Provided Voluntarily by Parents)
Wunschbox allows parents to create profiles for their children. This data is only collected if a parent chooses to provide it:
Identity: Name, Age, and Gender.
Photos: Images uploaded for the child’s profile or specific gift wishes.
Wishlist Items: Names, descriptions, images, and reference links for gifts.
Note: We do not knowingly collect data directly from children. All data relating to minors must be entered by a parent or legal guardian.
2. How We Use Your Information
Service Delivery: To display wishlists and child profiles to users you have explicitly invited.
Security: To verify your identity and prevent unauthorized access to private wishlists. As the app involves sensitive information regarding minors, account registration is required to ensure a secure, private environment.
Gift Inspiration: We provide gift inspiration via Awin affiliate links and show advertisements via Google AdMob. These services strictly relate to physical products and do not unlock digital content within the app.
3. Third-Party Services & Advertising
Our app integrates with third-party services that may collect data according to their own policies:
Google AdMob: Used for displaying advertisements. We tag ad requests as "Child-Directed" where appropriate to ensure compliance with privacy laws (COPPA/GDPR).
Awin: Used for affiliate marketing links for physical goods. If you click a product link, Awin may use identifiers to attribute potential purchases of physical items to our application.
Authentication: Google and Apple SSO are used for secure login. These providers share your name and email with us only upon your authorization.
4. Data Sharing and Privacy Controls
Private Sharing: Children's profiles and wishes are private by default. They are only visible to other Wunschbox users whom you have specifically invited.
No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your children's information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Your Rights and Data Deletion
In accordance with GDPR and global mobile platform requirements, you have full control over your information:
In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated children's data at any time via the Settings menu in the app.
Manual Deletion Request: You may also request total data deletion by contacting us at denis@wunschbox.store.
Data Retention: Upon account deletion, all data is permanently purged from our active databases.
6. Compliance
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as a German-based entity and adhere to the principles of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by ensuring that only parents/guardians can submit information regarding minors.
